SBENZ offers internationally recognised maritime courses and associated services with personalised tuition for recreational and professional industry certification.

Operating since 2003, we provide a variety of marine qualifications, tuition, preparation and professional boat and project management, both within New Zealand and overseas. Our courses include one-one-one or small group tuition and safety tuition using boat-specific safety equipment.

We are based in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, which gives us easy access to the Waitemata Harbour, Weshaven Marina and Hauraki Gulf and its amenities within Auckland’s CBD.  However, we can offer nation-wide tuition, tailored to your requirements. Practical modules take place on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour and Hauraki Gulf. We utilise an indoor wave pool to provide a controlled environment for lifejacket/liferaft wet drills to help simulate actual conditions.

We are certified by the RYA as a training center in New Zealand,  Coastguard Boating Education NZ are the issuing authority of certificates.
Our safety courses are endorsed by ISAF, Yachting New Zealand, the Australian Yachting Federation and Coastguard Boating Education New Zealand.
